Why Fallwood

Cable drum manufacturer with its own sawmill and two production lines

Fallwood is a family company from Zahutyń near Sanok, Poland. Our timber-processing experience dates back to 1993, and since 2019 we have operated as Fallwood, continuing the family tradition of manufacturing wooden cable drums and sawn timber products.

Two modern production lines, 70 skilled employees and specialists, and our own logistics department let us produce fast and deliver on time. Every drum is designed and built to the parameters specified by the customer.

Cable drums Ø 600–3200 mm, flanges, sawn timber and roof trusses

Fallwood specialises in wooden cable drums designed for the individual customer. Our production capacity covers drums with flange diameters from 600 to 3200 mm, and on request we adapt the design to the cable parameters and the customer’s requirements. Cable drums to customer specification

Pine drums with flange diameters from 600 to 3200 mm, one-way and returnable. Every drum is matched and engineered for the specific customer: cable weight and length, barrel diameter, hub bore, protection and marking. IPPC heat treatment, PPWR and EUDR documentation.

Sawn timber – top grade only

Sawn timber from our own sawmill, exclusively from top-grade raw material, kiln-dried or green as the customer needs. Boards, beams, squared timber and beech friezes cut to size. FSC® and PEFC certified.

Ecology and the circular economy

Our products – designed with tomorrow in mind, today

Recyclability and reuse systems. We design every product with recycling in mind from the very start. Fallwood drums, flanges and packaging are built so that at end of life they are easy to dismantle, sort and recycle through proven disposal channels.

Recycling by design

One wood species, steel fasteners for recovery, no glues or coatings that hinder processing. Every drum component goes to the right waste stream.

Repair and reuse system

In line with the direction set by the PPWR regulation, we are introducing a repair and reuse system for returnable drums. Bolted construction, replaceable flanges and staves – we are ready for it today.

We care for the environment

Raw material from FSC® and PEFC certified forests in the Carpathians, a short supply chain, our own sawmill and full use of wood residues. Wood is renewable and stores CO₂ for the whole life of the drum.

Machinery

Two modern production lines for flanges and drums

Automated flange-forming lines, multi-head machining centres and drum assembly stations keep lead times short and quality repeatable on large series.

The whole process – from sawn timber out of our own sawmill, through drying and heat treatment, to assembly and packing – takes place at one site in Zahutyń.

Logistics

On-time deliveries to cable plants across the EU

Our logistics team plans transport of drums, flanges and timber to customers in Poland, Germany, Austria, Italy and the rest of the European Union. Large series ship directly from the Zahutyń warehouse.

Flanges are strapped in bundles, drums are secured for road transport. Impregnated drums for outdoor storage are available on request.
